With the relaxation of Covid restrictions back in early June, BSM members dived headfirst into the pool on June 21 under the watchful eye of coach John Watson. With the water temperature at 28C, attentive lifeguards and the scent of chlorine, swimmers clocked up the kilometres and thoroughly enjoyed being back in the water amongst friends.
To celebrate the big splash, BSM held a “We’re Back BBQ” at a Lota park on July 18. The weather was glorious, the company was great and the food, well, what can I say, nothing draws a crowd like a good ol’ barbie. Organised by BSM social director Cathy Flanders and husband Greg, BSM VP, and co-ordinated by coach John Watson, proving he’s not only a dab hand on pool deck but also picking out the best picnic spot in the Queensland sunshine.
