2021 Multiple Sclerosis Swimathons

The MS Swimathon is a Queensland based fundraising initiative where teams of at least 4 people are sponsored by friends, family and work colleagues to swim in a 12-hour relay; raising vital funds for Queenslanders living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

The MS Swimathon was impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic, cancelling three of the events in the 2019/20 season and delaying the new season until 2021. We are very excited to see the return of the MS Swimathon in 2021, as we dive in and make a splash to fight MS!

Eight MS Swimathon events are held across the state in Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Redcliffe, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Mackay and Townsville, with dates below:

Toowoomba- 6th March 2021

Sunshine Coast- 20th March 2021

Townsville- 8th May 2021

Redcliffe – 16th May 2021

Mackay – 12th September 2021

Rockhampton – 9th October 2021

Gladstone – 17th October 2021

Gold Coast – 14th November 2021

The MS Swimathon raises vital funds to provide services and support for people living with MS across the state. The event is not only an action-packed day by the pool taking on a challenge in your favourite sport but also an opportunity to make an impact by raising much needed funds. The MS Swimathon is an awesome chance for team building and challenging your fellow teams to a friendly competition. If you’re up for the challenge, don’t wait and register your interest now!

The North Mackay Sinkers received their much-deserved fundraising rewards from the 2020 Mackay MS Swimathon. Although the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the team raised over $6,000- a new record for the Sinkers Masters Swimming club.
