Masked Birthday Bash
It was the birthday bash of a half century where masks were the order of the night – not sterile Covid-19 ones – but fabulous masks worn by guests of the birthday girl, River City Masters swimmer Michelle Gallen, at her Venetian ball themed 50th birthday at Customs House by the Brisbane River.
Some 45 friends and family not only raised their glasses to her milestone but also to the opening of the borders with many of them coming up from Canberra to celebrate this special occasion on 28 November.
While many wore eye-catching masks to match their finery, it was fellow swim mate Jason Burgess and partner Chris Hetherton as well as close friends from Canberra Bob Harlow and Carolyn Kramer who dressed for the occasion in beautiful period costumes. A perfect party at a beautiful heritage setting to celebrate a special lady. Happy birthday Michelle!!
