Toowoomba Tadpoles Swim 1500m in July 2019 Postal Report

Dear fellow swimmers

The Toowoomba Tadpoles Swim 1500m in July Postal was a great success again this year. Numbers were up significantly on last year with 91 swimmers from 21 clubs around Australia who submitted their times.  That was made up of 14 Queensland clubs, 2 NSW, 1 ACT, 1 WA, 1 Victorian club and 1 Barbarian. The most popular event was freestyle, followed by backstroke and many members swam more than one event making a total of 124 swims in all. Two swimmers swam butterfly in the freestyle category!!

Once again, women outnumbered men, 64 women to 27 men!

All LC times were converted to SC times using Meet Manager conversion. The winners for each age group were awarded a medal and certificate and every entrant receives a Tadpoles water bottle. As a side benefit, the club raised some funds.

We thank you for participating in our event and thank the timekeepers and club representatives for sending in the entries and positive feedback. Some clubs even sent in photos, which makes us feel a little more connected through our love of swimming.
