Join Greater Brisbane’s only ocean swim, now in its 6th consecutive year! Starting in 2020 with just nine SSG swimmers, the Moreton Bay Swim has grown into a beloved annual event. Choose from three challenging distances—4km, 2km, or 1km—and wrap up the day with a fun, family-friendly inflatable race. Whether you’re a new or seasoned ocean swimmer, this event has something for everyone.

Run by athletes with experience in ocean swims, swim-runs, and triathlons around the world, the Moreton Bay Swim focuses on delivering an exceptional experience. While maintaining its grassroots vibe, the event is backed by the professionalism and respect that comes with government council sponsorship.

What began as a small gathering of swimmers has evolved into a major community event, previously known as the Australia Day Swim and the Pavilion Swim. Over the years, SSG Multisports has welcomed members, social media followers, local sports clubs, and the public to be part of its history.

Now, we invite YOU to join us in 2025! With 400 swimmers, three race distances, and over $1,500 in prizes, it’s a swim you won’t want to miss.
