Welcome to Swimming at the Great Barrier Reef Masters Games 2027, proudly hosted by Masters Swimming Queensland at the iconic Tobruk Memorial Pool in Cairns from 24 to 26 June 2027. The swimming competition forms part of the 8th Great Barrier Reef Masters Games, an event that has been held in Cairns every two years since 2013 and attracted more than 2,500 participants in 2025.

Swimmers from across Australia and Oceania will compete in age groups at one of the country’s premier masters swimming venues, with no qualifying times required. The three-day program offers a full schedule of long course racing in a world-class pool, providing opportunities for both experienced competitors and those new to masters swimming.

Beyond the pool, Cairns provides the perfect backdrop for a swimming getaway, with the Great Barrier Reef, tropical attractions, dining and entertainment all within easy reach. Whether you’re chasing records, medals, personal bests or simply the chance to race alongside fellow masters swimmers, GBRMG 2027 promises an unforgettable swimming experience in Tropical North Queensland.
