Belgravia Masters Meet 2022 Summary
The Belgravia Masters LC Meet which was held over two days 13 and 14 August 2022 by all accounts was a very popular and enjoyable meet.
Unfortunately, competitor numbers were down from the entries count due to a variety of reasons, but the two main reasons were Covid/Flu and the Swimming Qld Championships at Chandler held over the same dates.
Despite this, the competition was exciting with 23 State records and 5 National records broken over the two days. I’m also told there were plenty of PBs set by swimmers taking advantage of this great opportunity for some long distance racing.
The heated indoor venue was certainly appreciated in the cooler weather and hopefully this underused venue can host many similar meets into the future.
Thank you to all those that competed over the weekend, the officials and the technical crew that kept the event on track.
