Brisbane Northside Celebrates Successful Meet

Brisbane Northside hosted a very successful short course swim meet, enjoying perfect weather and some outstanding performances in the pool.

A strong field of 176 competitors represented 25 clubs from across Queensland, along with three interstate swimmers and one swimmer from a Masters club in Italy.

The meet ran smoothly throughout the day with no delays, finishing close to schedule at 1:00pm. Lunch was served at the conclusion of events, followed by individual and team presentations.

Three Queensland State records were broken during the meet, adding to an already impressive day of racing.

Team Trophy Winners

The following clubs took home the major team awards:

  • John and Shirley Kerr Award (small club with the highest average points)
    Sunshine Coast Masters
  • Don Fowles Award (large club with the highest average points)
    Belgravia Masters
  • Mary Sweeney Award (club with the highest aggregate points overall)
    Miami Masters

Congratulations to the winning clubs, and to all swimmers who contributed to a day of excellent competition.

Brisbane Northside thanked all participants for their support, along with the officials and volunteer timekeepers whose efforts helped make the meet such an enjoyable and successful occasion.

The club also acknowledged its sponsors, Vegi Prepi, Gemera Café, and The Swimwear Shack, for their ongoing support.
