MSQ Volunteer of the Year 2024

Masters Swimming Queensland is proud to recognise Susanne Milenkevich as the MSQ Volunteer of the Year for 2024. Her unwavering dedication, leadership, and passion for inclusivity in our sport have made a significant impact on the MSQ community.

Susanne is always approachable and willing to help, tackling every challenge with a smile. Her enthusiasm for encouraging swimmers to participate and get involved is truly inspiring. One of her most remarkable contributions this year has been leading the establishment of Multi-Class records within MSQ. This initiative was a monumental task, and thanks to Susanne’s dedication, Rackley Masters alone saw Multi-Class athletes establish 106 records. The opportunity to present these swimmers with certificates has been a source of immense pride, not only for the athletes but also for their families, who understand the challenges they overcome every day.

Beyond her work with Multi-Class records, Susanne serves as President of MSQ, guiding the State Management Board with skill and commitment. She actively travels to support clubs across Queensland while also competing in the majority of swim meets herself. Balancing her volunteer role with work, family, and her own swimming career, she exemplifies dedication to the sport.

Susanne’s hard work sets a benchmark for inclusivity and excellence, not just in Queensland but across Australia. Her efforts are truly deserving of this recognition, and the entire MSQ community is proud to celebrate her as the 2024 MSQ Volunteer of the Year.

This award was presented at the recent MSQ AGM by VP Sunshine, Neil Newman, and Katrina Munn of Rackley Masters, in recognition of Susanne’s outstanding contributions to Masters Swimming Queensland. Congratulations Susanne!
