MSQ Lifeblood Team – 2025 Year in Review
Early in 2025, the MSQ Community Care Program began planning activities for the year ahead. By June, our first initiative was underway: the formation of the Masters Swimming Queensland Lifeblood Team, bringing together all regions under the MSQ Lifeblood banner. With many individuals and clubs already active in this area, we had a strong foundation to build upon.
Now, as 2026 arrives, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the results of our first six months:
- 36 MSQ members across 4 clubs, plus a 5th small group in the main MSQ team
- 154 blood and plasma donations made in 2025
- These donations have supported an estimated 462 lives in need
🏆 As a group, this achievement placed the MSQ Lifeblood Team:
- #1 in Queensland among clubs with 1–99 members donating
- Top 5 nationally out of nearly 600 clubs in the same category
This is an incredible accomplishment in just half a year, and a powerful gift to our healthcare community.
Why January Matters
Blood and plasma products are often in high demand during December and January. If you’ve been considering starting donations, now is the perfect time. And if you’re not yet affiliated with a team, we’d love for you to join the MSQ Lifeblood Team.
