Hervey Bay Masters Short Course 2026 Report

Hervey Bay Masters welcomed 104 competitors representing 19 clubs from across Queensland, along with one competitor from Tasmania, for its 2026 Short Course Swim Meet.

After an initial hiccup with the timing system, the meet ran smoothly and, by all reports, everyone enjoyed a great day of racing and catching up with fellow Masters swimmers.

Congratulations to our club award winners:

Average Large Club Points: Belgravia Masters
Average Small Club Points: Gympie Goldfins

Congratulations to both clubs, and a big thank you to all the swimmers who travelled to Hervey Bay and supported our annual swim meet.

Going for Gold

The fun continued after the swimming with our “Gold” themed presentation night at the Hervey Bay Surf Life Saving Club.

Guests enjoyed pizza and an assortment of desserts, along with plenty of laughs courtesy of stand-up comedian Patricia from Maryborough Masters.

Despite the lack of one of Hervey Bay’s famous sunsets, there were certainly plenty of rays of golden sunshine to be seen throughout the evening!

Thank you to our sponsors

Hervey Bay Masters sincerely thanks the following sponsors and supporters whose contribution helped make the 2026 Short Course Swim Meet a success:

Hervey Bay RSL, FCRC, David Lee MP, Golden Shores, Barefoot Pilates Studio, Engage Engineers, Enzos on the Beach, Retireinvest Wide Bay, World Treasure Designs, Davis Removals, Brother Brother Organic Eggs, Jeremy Baker – The Complete Body Personal Training, Vorgee, Funkita/Funky Trunks, Dominoes and Hervey Bay Surf Life Saving Club.

Thank you again to everyone who competed, volunteered, officiated, supported and celebrated with Hervey Bay Masters. We hope everyone went home with some great memories from another enjoyable weekend of Masters swimming.

Fitness, Friendship and Fun!
